Drypoint etchings, Functioning Presence of Truth (above) and Immediate Object of Understanding (below), have been published on the cover and interior of the July 2020 Heirlock Magazine, Volumn l, Issue lll, Home. Heirlock Magazine publishes primarily poetry, as well as visual art and short fiction.
These etchings are visual poetry created to express Home as unconditional love, not conditional romance. Inspired by the historic Fort Warren on Georges Island, MA, I use the stone and granite buildings to symbolize Home as a fortress in thought, fortified against outside influence or disturbances. Home is within me as Mind.
