Immutable Love – Soldier-Head Vessel Series (Triptych)

Created as a triptych, the Immutable Love soldier-head vessel series is designed to be displayed together as a unified piece. With open mouths, the soldiers sing praise to one another, expressing their unwavering allegiance to love, honor, and strength.

The wood ash flashing marks, the torched silk-screened prints, and the cracked faces symbolize the internal and external forces that seek to diminish the soldiers' (or our) happiness. These elements reflect the tension between conflict and devotion, portraying the struggle to maintain love and unity in the face of adversity.

Soldier-head vessels with flashing slips and wadding are prepared for loading into the train kiln.

After 36 hours the train kiln was unloaded.
